What is Yoga?
Yoga, the Indian word for union is a practice over 1000 years old started in India now spread worldwide to help unite the mind and body to achieve a peacefulness within yourself and your surroundings. Yoga is a great way to build balance and strength as well as mental and emotional stability.
Does Yoga work for stress relief?
The answer is simple.....
YES!!!
Most people feel like victims to their surroundings as if the world is making day to day life harder than it should be. For example: Traffic jams, finances, raising children, the boss at work, deadlines at work, relationship problems and so on. The list of things that could be stressful in every day life is endless.
Yoga provides a method to melt away all of your stressful thoughts by teaching you to focus on your breathing and posture. This creates a state of calmness which can be used in any aspect of life when things seem to be overwhelming or stressful. Most people have an unavoidable situation happen every day that makes them feel overwhelmed or stressed. Through Yoga you can learn to handle these situations in a much healthier manner.
What are the physical benefits of Yoga?
Deep breathing exercises have a huge immediate health benefit do to the increase in oxygen into the system. Your system will greatly benefit from the increase of oxygen to the blood circulation to aid in the removal of toxins in your system. Not to mention the increase in strength, personal balance and flexibility you'll receive from the many poses you'll learn during the class.
What styles of Yoga do you teach?
We specialize in teaching Hatha Yoga which incorporates Asanas postures, Pranayama breathing techniques and meditation in an introspective and non competitive environment.
What is the cost?
The cost is only
$80 for 6 weeks of classes
twice per week. That's less than $7 per session with a professional Yoga instructor!!
Do i need experience with Yoga to attend the class?
This class is tailored for the beginner to intermediate student so no experience is necessary!
